My "23 for 2023" List
Wow, how is it June already. And how I am only publishing this now (better late than never I guess). So without further adieu here is my 23 for 2023 list*:
1. Finish decorating my bedroom. For various reasons I haven't finished redecorating my bedroom, and I'm starting to feel it (living in semi-chaos I mean). I have a great bed now, and a comfy mattress so it's time to sort out storage, floors, and the finishing touches (e.g. curtains, and pictures)
My "22 for 2022" List - How did I do?
Another year, another list (and once again thanks to Gretchen Rubin for the inspiration)
This year I managed to complete eleven items on my list, and make progress towards five more. Let's see how I did in a bit more detail.
3 Strategies to Cope with the Clocks Changing (in 2022)
Last year I wrote an article about coping with the end of daylight saving time (which happens at the end of October here in the UK). if you've read the posts you'll know that I was pretty scarred when the clocks went back in 2020 (probably not aided by being in lockdown!).
As a result, I wanted to be prepared in 2021 and not go through another very dark November. The four strategies I adopted seemed to work quite well, although some better than others (read my follow-up here).
This year I will be putting this strategies to work again, but incorporating what I learnt from my first year of actually applying them.
5 Strategies To Build A Daily Yoga Habit
Are you thinking about taking the plunge, and committing to a daily yoga habit?
That's great! Yoga can have so many benefits, and is such a wonderful form of low-impact movement.
But perhaps you're hesitating, concerned that you won't be able to keep it up.
That's also great! It's better to plan for reality than assume life (or we) will suddenly transform into a magical place (or being).
Luckily, there are many things we can do to give ourselves the best chance of success when committing to a new goal or practice.
Have you designed your summer?
Anyone who has read *any* of my blog posts will have picked up that I am a big fan of Gretchen Rubin, and an avid listener of her Happier podcast. I pick up so many useful ideas to become a healthier and happier me 😊
When I heard the concept of designing your summer (covered for the first time in this episode) it really resonated with me. I'm the kind of person who is always surprised by the arrival of summer bank holidays, and the fact that everyone is away in August!
